Facebook Hack Tutorial: How to View Bigger Size Picture From Small Private Profiles Picture Without Losing in Resolution

When you look for someone or sometimes in your friends’s friends, you can see a small picture of the person sometimes to small to see anything.

Did you know it was possible to see this small picture in a bigger size and bigger resolution one ?!

I found this nice, easy and useful hack on this Gosublogger’s article.

So let see how it works.

Lets say I am looking, for instance, for Homer Simpsons, I make a search on this name in Facebook and I find this:

simpsons_1.jpg

(Ndl: yes I am as fatty and bold as Homer and yes it is the reason why I have chosen him! :-) )

Following is the real size and resolution of the picture we usually can see in this kind of case:

simpsons_2.jpg

And following is what we may obtain easily even if we can’t access the profile of person in question:

homer simpsons

How to do this ? It is very simple.

1. You just “right click” on the small picture and in the contextual menu you choose “Properties“. This action will open a window in which you will have different element properties like the size of the picture, its height, its width, … and its location.

2. Double click on the location and copy it. You should have something like this :

http://profile.ak.facebook.com/profile1/123/1/s581589715_4471.jpg

3. Paste this link in your navigator (in the URL emplacement) and change the “s” (small) by “n” (normal) and press Enter. So this should be the new URL:

http://profile.ak.facebook.com/profile1/123/1/n581589715_4471.jpg

There are to other letters that work but do not seem intersting to me: “q” (smaller) and “t” (smaller than smaller).

Voilà!!!

If you have other ideas like that I would be glad to read them ?

Thanx

Homer
