Facebook News: Facebook Nouveau Design Has Arrived

The new Facebook user design has arrived. Some of you might already know that for a 1 or 2 weeks, for the others you might still have to wait a few hours like a few days or even, who knows, a few week to be able to test it unless you read this little article.

So Facebook has launch, in July, their new user design interface which came with all sorts of ways for applications to deeply integrate into the user profile, and increase communication and interaction with users.

Some changes among others, the redesigned interface looks pretty neat, has a larger useful area and allow to dynamically add tabs for the applications you’ve added or want to add. No profile page anymore !

So, if the top of your Facebook home page does not look something like the example above, you may wonder why this the case?
“Why haven’t I had the opportunity till now to test it?”
“Why didn’t Facebook give me this wonderful opportunity?”
“Aha! I’ve got it!…”

“It’s probably because I’m a lamer or a c…head or simple an boring facebook user? ”

No!!! there is nothing to do with that!!!… Huummm, probably not! :-)

It is just because Facebook is rolling out their new interface randomly to selected users.

So if you are not one of these selected users, you may still choose not to wait and try it know.

The procedure is very short and simple:

1. Login to Facebook as usual (http://www.facebook.com).
2. Modify the URL lightly so that you have a “new.” between the “http://www.” and the “facebook.com”. Your new URL should look like: “http:/www.new.facebook.com” (you may even directly click on the link just given).
3. Enjoy

Just one last thing, if you don’t like or feel lost in the new design or if you are nostalgic of the old one, the only way to go back seems to be by clicking in your home page’s upper right corner on the ajax link “Back to the old Facebook” as in the example below.
