Facebook hack: See Anybody’s Friends Using Google

See anybody’s friends using google

Even if you followed the advices of this past article:

http://www.tools4facebook.com/2008/12/24/facebook-privacy-default-settings-is-not-always-the-translation-of-good-privacy/

It seems it is not enough to help you keen your privacy.

Indeed, if you make some kind of Google search, as the following for instance:

site:facebook.com/people surname name -”allinurl:name” “Here are some of” “friends:”

Where you have to replace “firstname” and “name” with who ever name you are trying  to get info from.

Here is an example of what I got when I looked for Homer Simpsons:

site:facebook.com/people homer simpsons -”allinurl:simpson” “Here are some of” “friends:”

This was just an sample to show you that you may get a lot more information about a facebook user even if his private settings are correctly set.

So you may wonder what you can do to solve that?!

It seems that friends with weak private settings are set (it also means that you will probably not see all the friends of a particular user but only some of them.

So following are some solutions I see:

a. Don’t use facebook unless you don’t care about this kind of problem.

b. Facebook stop letting search engines robots access this kind of information.

c. Don’t be friend on Facebook with weak privacy people.

d. Or Uncheck in settings -> privacy -> search the box “Public Search Listing”. :-)

If you have any further solutions or advance google search combinations or what ever else… Do not hesitate to put your comment!
